In a world filled with an abundance of digital imagery and fleeting moments, I want to pause and explore the tangible narratives of personal collections that make up our lives. This exhibition explores the intimate relationship among memory, vulnerability, and the comfort we find and create within our curated archives. This show consists of 34 small books, each one containing the content from a “Highlights” folder from my Instagram. I have been digitally collecting images from other artists or unknown found imagery from around 2019-2024. As I have discovered imagery that speaks to me, I have reposted on my Instagram stories as a way to archive them, by using the saved highlights on my profile. I have created these miniature volumes as a way to physically archive this large collection of images, which has influenced my own work and my perception of art throughout time. Through these glimpses, I seek to illuminate the significance of personal collections as extensions of ourselves—archives of memories, emotions, and aspirations.
